Dr. Burgess graduated with her doctorate in clinical psychology from Univeristy of Denver in 2002. Her specialty focus has been adolescent and family therapy. She received her license in psychology from the State of Texas in 2003 and has been in private practice there since 2004. She received her Health Service Provider certification in 2008 and is currently listed on the National Register for Health Service Providers.
Prior to opening her own private practice, she was the clinical director for conduct disorder and anger management services at a secure residential treatment center for court ordered boys in Dallas County, TX. She has also worked with CPS referred cases, foster care families, and in a college counseling center.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Burgess is an adjunct instructor at several area universities, including Tarleton State, Texas Wesleyan, and Liberty University's distance learning program. |
